OLA ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as “Company”) warrants - that each new scooter (of the models under coverage) manufactured by the Company shall be free from any defects in both material and workmanship, under normal use and maintenance for the warranty period. Ola Electric Technologies Private Limited is offering the following for your vehicle's battery.
  • Ola Electric Battery Base Warranty Plan: 8-Years or 80k km (whichever is earlier)
  • Ola Electric Battery Top-up Warranty Plan: 8-Years or 100k km Battery (whichever is earlier)
  • Ola Electric Battery Top-up Warranty Plan: 8-Years or 125k km Battery (whichever is earlier)
Ola Electric Technologies Private Limited reserves the right to change any of the terms and conditions of these warranty terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting an announcement on the official web-site of Ola Electric. You may review these terms regularly to ensure that You are aware of any changes made by us. The continued use of our Website / Services by You, after changes are posted, means that You agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions as updated and/or amended. In the case of any violation of these Terms and Conditions or any additional terms posted on Our Website, we reserve the right to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for any such violations. This plan is designed to extend the protection of your battery from any defects in both manufacturing and workmanship, for the duration of the plan terms. WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS OLA ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (“COMPANY”) warrants that each newly manufactured  electric two-wheeler by the Company shall be free from any defects in both material and workmanship, under normal use and maintenance, subject to the following terms and conditions: Section 1: Warranty Period on Battery:
  1. The warranty on the battery shall exist for a period of 96 months from the date of delivery of the vehicle or 80,000 kms whichever is earlier irrespective of Kilometers driven.
Section 2: Warranty Period on Vehicle Components:
  1. All vehicle components except the battery are covered under this Vehicle Components Warranty for a period of 36 months from the date of delivery of the vehicle or 40,000 kms, whichever occurs early.
Section 3: What is covered under Warranty (both vehicle and battery):
  1. Warranty is transferable to the subsequent owner for the remaining warranty period and is applicable only in India.
  2. The Company’s obligation is limited to repairing or replacing, free of cost, those parts of the vehicle, which upon examination by the Company may acknowledge to be defective in manufacturing or workmanship within the warranty period stipulated above, and in such cases, the Company’s decision either to repair or replace the affected part will be final. Such defective parts that have been replaced shall become the property of the Company.
  3. All labor costs with respect to the above replacement or repair during the warranty period shall be borne by the Company.
  4. Battery and Parts repaired or replaced under this warranty are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period. 
Section 4: What is not covered under Warranty: This warranty shall not apply to:
  1. Any natural wear and tear and aging of parts of the vehicle, like the Brake pads, brake discs, bearings, tyres, bushes, rubber parts, belt, grommets and seals.
  2. Consumables like brake oil, fasteners,grease and dust seal
  3. Normal maintenance services, including without limitation, cleaning and polishing, etc.
  4. Failure to charge the battery for an extended period may result in degradation of the battery’s health or performance &, potentially, irreversible damage. such damage may necessitate the need for a battery replacement & is not covered under the warranty.
  5. Replacement of parts as a result of normal wear and tear
  6. Damage or failure resulting from:
    1. Negligence of carrying out proper maintenance as written in the Owner’s Manual and Service Manual
    2. Misuse, abuse, accidents, theft, flooding, fire or taking part in motor races or competitions
    3. use of improper or non-genuine oils and lubricants
    4. Vehicles used with sidecars not manufactured / supplied by the Company
    5. Use of parts other than Company’s genuine parts
    6. Any device and/or accessories not supplied by the Company with the vehicle
    7. Modifications, alterations, tampering or improper repairs done at any unauthorized service points
    8. Control Units  or software used in vehicle which  are not designed or approved by the company 
    9.  Paint scratches, dents or similar paint or body damage on the vehicle not due to the Company
    10. Vehicles on which motor number or chassis number is deleted, defaced or altered
    11. Tyres originally equipped on the Vehicle are warranted for directly by the respective manufacturers and not by the Company.
    12. The Company shall not be liable for incidental, remote, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, including without limitation for loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle or commercial loss due to the usage of the Vehicle.
    13. Any warranty obligations shall only be triggered when the defect in the vehicle is brought to the notice of the Company by the customer and on logging his/her complaint
    14. An act of God or environmental factors, including, but not limited to, earthquake, war, terrorist attack,  airborne chemicals, lockouts, strike, riots, frost, tree sap, damages caused by animal or rodents, bird  droppings, road debris, industrial fallout, rail dust, salt, hail, floods, wind storms, acid rain, fire, water damage, contamination, lightning,  and other environmental conditions;
    15. Any other damage or defects on the vehicles on account of improper transportation by the customer or any third party
    16. Any other damage or defects on the Vehicles on account of accident/collision /carrying out stunts / improper transportation / riding by the customer or any third party.
    17. Customer’s failure to keep the MoveOS version of the vehicle up to date
    18. The Company may make any modifications or improvements to the vehicles in the future, at any time without
    19. prior notice and without any obligation to install the same on vehicles previously dispatched for sale
    20. This warranty is the entire warranty given by the Company for the Ola Electric Two-wheelers  and no employee is authorized to extend or enlarge this warranty and no dealer and/or its agent or employee is authorized to make any oral warranty on the Company’s behalf
    21. The Company reserves the right for the final decision in all warranty matters.
Section 5: Declaration
  1. This Warranty should be considered as a permanent part of the vehicle and should remain with the vehicle when sold or transferred to a new owner
  2. All information, illustrations, photographs and specifications contained in the Owner's Manual are based on the latest product information available at the time of its publication. The Company may, however, incorporate modifications or improvements on its vehicles at any time, without notice and therefore, in such events, it is possible that some parts of the Owner's Manual may not apply to your vehicle
  3. prior written permission of the Company is required for quoting, copying or reproducing any part or in full of the Owner's Manual
  4. Accessories shown in the picture may not be part of the standard equipment
  5. The Company shall not be liable for any delay in servicing due to reasons beyond the control of the Company
Except for the limited warranties described herein, the Company does not provide any other warranty, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. The limited warranties contained in this booklet are issued in Bengaluru, and any claim relating to or arising out of the warranty terms herein shall be subject to the courts at Bengaluru, which shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to entertain and adjudicate the said claims. Section 6: Owner’s Responsibility
  1. Please take proper care, proper use and maintenance of the vehicle in accordance with the instructions provided in the Owner’s Manual . If the vehicle is subjected to severe usage conditions, such as operating in extremely dusty, rough or heavy city traffic during hot weather or during the monsoons, usage of vehicles with underinflated wheels,  maintenance of the vehicle may have to be done more often.
  1. Maintenance service records will be maintained by the Company and can be made available to the Customer on request
  1. In order to maintain the validity of this Warranty on the vehicle, the vehicle must be serviced by the Company Authorized workshop in accordance to the Owner’s Manual 
Ola Electric Battery Top-up Warranty Plan: 8-Years or 100k km The 8-Years / 100k km Battery Top-up Warranty Plan is offered as a paid top-up coverage. It shall be valid for a period of 96 months from the date of delivery of the scooter or a total scooter driven distance of 100,000 km (from the date of delivery of the scooter), whichever comes first. TERMS OF 8-YEARS / 100K KM BATTERY TOP-UP WARRANTY The Ola Electric Battery Top-up Warranty Plan is transferable to the subsequent owner in case of sale of vehicle for the remaining warranty period and is applicable only in India. The Company's obligation is limited and final to repairing or replacing, free of cost, those battery parts of the scooter, which upon examination by the company may be acknowledged to be defective in manufacturing or workmanship within the warranty period stipulated above. Such defective parts of the battery that have been replaced shall become the property of the Company. All labor costs with respect to the above replacement or repair during the warranty period shall be borne by the Company till the time the offer lasts. Post repair/replacement of batteries, Warranty policy will continue to be in-force, per the original validity conditions (8-years or 80k kms in the Base Warranty period from the date of delivery or as per Top-up warranty period, i.e., 100k km or 125k km, if purchased by the customer) COVERAGE UNDER 8-YEARS / 100K KM BATTERY TOP-UP WARRANTY PLAN
  • The Ola Electric Battery Top-up Warranty Plan is in addition to the standard comprehensive warranty on the battery. The standard comprehensive warranty of the scooter covers the battery and vehicle components for 3 years or 40k kms, whichever is earlier. The company will provide replacement/repair of the battery and associated parts of the battery that are damaged due to manufacturing defects or workmanship, free of cost including the labor charges till the time the offer ends. The defective parts will be the company's property.
  • As part of the Battery Top-up Warranty, batteries will be repaired/replaced for any manufacturing/design defects caused faults or if battery performance degrades* below 70% during the warranty period.
  • Top-up Warranty period is defined as the coverage till 96 months or 100,000 km (whichever is earlier)
  • All models are eligible to purchase the top-up warranty, provided that the vehicle should have been delivered within the last 12 months effective from 3rd February 2024.
  • All retail customers are eligible to purchase the top-up warranty, provided that the vehicle should have been delivered within the last 12 months effective from 3rd February 2024.
  • Please refer to your standard warranty manual set out in the owner’s manual for more details..
ITEMS NOT COVERED UNDER 8-YEARS / 100K KM BATTERY TOP-UP WARRANTY This Battery Top-up Warranty shall not apply to:
  • Any non-battery scooter parts, and their natural wear and tear, or aging
  • Consumables like the brake oil system, oil suspension system oil, grease and fastener.
  • Normal maintenance services including but not limited to cleaning and polishing, wheel balancing, wheel alignment, tyre rotation, etc.
  • Negligence of carrying out proper maintenance as written in the Owner's Manual and Service Manual - misuse, not updating the software in time, abuse, rat-bites, accidents, theft, flooding, fire or taking part in motor races - will NOT be covered
  • Scooters used with sidecars not manufactured or supplied by the Company.
  • Use of parts other than the company's genuine parts or of any device and accessories not supplied by the Company with the scooter.
  • Modifications, alterations, tampering or improper repairs done at any unauthorized service points.
  • Parts of software used in applications which were neither designed nor approved by the Company.
  • Paint scratches, dents or similar paint or body damage on the scooter not due to the Company.
  • Scooters on which motor numbers or chassis numbers are deleted, defaced or altered.
  • The Company shall not be liable for incidental, remote, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, including without limitation for loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of scooter or commercial loss due to the use of the scooter.
  • Any Top-up warranty obligations shall only be triggered when the defect in the scooter is brought to the notice of the company by the customer and on logging their complaint.
  • The Company shall not be liable for any delay in servicing due to reasons beyond the control of the Company.
  • The Company may make any modifications or improvements to the scooters in the future, at any time without prior notice and without any obligation to install the same on scooters previously  dispatched after sale.
  • ​​This Top-up warranty is given as a paid option by the Company on all its new scooter models and no employee is authorized to extend or enlarge this warranty and no dealer and/or its agent or employee is authorized to make any oral warranty on the Company’s behalf.
  • Negligence to charge battery, leading to damage to battery is NOT covered in the warranty plan
  • Ola Electric Battery Top-up Warranty Plan is applicable for to all retail customers only, not applicable to commercial and fleet customers
  • Consequential/Causal Damages not covered in Battery Only Coverage

  • S1 X (2KWh) is NOT eligible for this policy
  • Negligence to charge battery, leading to damage to battery is NOT covered in the warranty plan
  • Ola Electric Battery Top-up Warranty Plan is applicable for to all retail customers only, not applicable to commercial and fleet customers
  • Consequential/Causal Damages not covered in Battery Only Coverage
* The company reserves the right to the final decision in all matters relating to the above Ola Electric Battery Warranty Plans.  *Battery Health certification will be done by the company only after the scooter has been driven for more than 10,000 kms since adequate data needs to be collected to calculate the battery health accurately * Applicable only for retail customers * Force Majeure not covered (including Act of God, Natural calamities, Riots, Terrorism and any such other conditions not under direct or indirect control of the Company)
